Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of valayathil.com and the MealAnalyzer app (together, the “Services”), operated by Valayathil LLC (“Valayathil,” “we,” “us”), a Texas limited liability company. By using either Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Description of services

Valayathil provides IT project consulting, AI systems, and Valayathil Media Entertainment (film and music production) services, and builds and operates MealAnalyzer, an app that estimates the macro and calorie content of a meal from a photo using AI-based image analysis.

2. Accounts

MealAnalyzer requires an account. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to create one. Let us know at benoy@valayathil.com if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Services for anything unlawful, or to infringe anyone else's rights;
• Upload photos you don't have the right to share, or photos of people without their consent;
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or disrupt the Services or the systems behind them;
• Use MealAnalyzer's output as the basis for a medical, clinical, or safety-critical decision (see Section 4).

5. Third-party services

MealAnalyzer sends meal photos to a third-party AI vision service to generate estimates; this website loads fonts from Google Fonts. We aren't responsible for the availability or behavior of third-party services we integrate with, though we choose providers we believe handle data responsibly. 6. Intellectual property

The Services, including their design, text, graphics, and underlying software, belong to Valayathil LLC or its licensors. You keep ownership of the photos you upload; by submitting a photo for analysis, you grant us a limited license to process it solely to provide the analysis and, where applicable, your history feature.

7. Disclaimers

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We don't guarantee the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that estimates will be accurate.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Valayathil LLC won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services, including reliance on a MealAnalyzer estimate. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, for the Service giving rise to the claim in the twelve months before the claim.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Services or delete your MealAnalyzer account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate access to the Services if we reasonably believe you've violated these Terms.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Services change. We'll update the “Last updated” date above when we do, and for material changes we'll make a reasonable effort to let MealAnalyzer account holders know in-app or by email. Continuing to use the Services after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
